Criminals have raided two residences in Glenrothes, making off with valuable jewelry and over 20,000 in cash. The initial break-in occurred on Keith Drive, where electronic devices and a substantial cash amount were stolen.
The second incident took place on Parbroath Road on Thursday, resulting in the loss of gold jewelry, three luxury watches, and another large sum of money.
Police Scotland confirmed the two burglaries are connected, noting a black Audi S3 was seen in the vicinity during the incidents.
Inspecting Officer Callum Winton stated that both homes were empty at the time of the thefts. He urged anyone who may have recorded the vehicle on CCTV or doorbell cameras, or who has relevant information, to come forward.
Inspector Winton also advised residents to secure valuable items with strong safety measures, including safes, alarms, and motion-sensor lighting, and where possible, to use safety deposit boxes outside the home.
