Federal authorities have expanded efforts to locate a high school football coach from Virginia who is wanted in connection with an investigation involving child sexual abuse imagery and online solicitation. Officials caution that the suspect could be armed.
The U.S. Marshals Service on Monday urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of 46-year-old Travis Turner to contact the agency or the Virginia State Police. According to state police spokesperson Robin Lawson, Turner is being sought with support from both the FBI and the U.S. Marshals Service.
Turner, head coach of the undefeated Union High School Bears in Big Stone Gap, disappeared on November 20.
