During the call, Frances president warned that the United States could potentially betray Ukraine, while Germanys chancellor accused American negotiators of manipulating both Europe and Kyiv. Finlands president also raised doubts, suggesting that US representatives may have communicated with Moscow during discussions with Ukrainian officials last month.

In a related development, European diplomats publicly criticized Russia in a major Indian newspaper ahead of President Vladimir Putins upcoming visit to India, drawing a formal response from New Delhi. Analysts noted that India has largely maintained a neutral stance in the conflict, even as the United States urges it to reduce purchases of Russian oil.
