Overnight, a significant fire broke out at a fireworks storage site, prompting a large-scale response from fire crews. The incident occurred at an industrial complex on Pleck Road in Walsall on Thursday night around 20:25 GMT.
A total of 55 firefighters were deployed to contain the flames. The facility reportedly stored fireworks, various stock, and wooden pallets, all of which were heavily involved in the blaze. Firefighters continue to work at the scene to bring the situation under control.
As of Friday morning, no injuries have been reported. Authorities have advised the public to stay clear of the area for safety reasons.
The West Midlands Fire Service announced that a detailed investigation into the cause of the fire will be conducted over the weekend and into the following week.
