Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has inaugurated a new property under its Vivanta brand in Aluva, a vibrant neighborhood in Kochi, Kerala. The hotel features 92 rooms and suites, with interiors inspired by the iconic Chinese fishing nets that are a hallmark of Kochi.
Guests can enjoy diverse dining experiences, including Mynt, an all-day dining restaurant; The Ace, a rooftop venue serving barbeque specialties; and Swirl, a patisserie offering sweet delights.
The hotels launch comes after the agreement for the property was signed in November 2023. IHCL partnered with Hotel Pearl Dunes for the development of this project.
Deepika Rao, Executive Vice-President for New Businesses and Hotel Openings at IHCL, commented: IHCL has significantly shaped the hospitality scene in Kochi. The opening of Vivanta Aluva represents our expansion into the citys growing Aluva micro-market. With its dynamic business environment and rich cultural heritage, Aluva is a perfect match for the Vivanta brand.
The property also offers a rooftop pool, fitness center, spa, and event spaces, enhancing its appeal for both leisure and business travelers. With this addition, IHCL now operates 22 hotels in Kerala under its Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger brands, including six properties currently under development.
Anup Kumar, General Manager of Vivanta Aluva, said: Vivantas vibrant and stylish character is embodied in our Aluva property through eclectic dining, dynamic spaces, and experiences that reflect Kochis unique personality.
On a global scale, IHCL manages 591 hotels, with 319 properties under development across four continents, 14 countries, and over 250 locations. In July, the company also signed an agreement for another Vivanta hotel in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
