An Israeli delegation has traveled to Cairo to negotiate the recovery of the remains of St.-Sgt.-Maj. Ran Gvili, a slain hostage, the Prime Minister's Office announced on Thursday.
The delegation was led by Brig.-Gen. (res.) Gal Hirsch, the Coordinator for Hostages and Missing Persons, and included representatives from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the Shin Bet, and the Mossad.
Following discussions, both sides committed to an "intensive and immediate effort" aimed at locating Gvili's remains.
This situation is ongoing and further updates are expected.
