Kate Middleton debuted a sleek, straight hairstyle on the opening day of her German state visit, showcasing a fresh look compared to her usual curls or waves. The Princess of Wales' new style mirrored that of her daughter, Princess Charlotte, who is known for her long, straight hair.

On December 3, 2025, the 43-year-old royal wore her brown hair straight, letting it flow past her shoulders as she greeted German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and First Lady Elke Bdenbender at Heathrow Airport alongside Prince William. Her hair cascaded elegantly down her back, complementing her blue ensemble.

During the formal welcome at Windsor Castle, Kate removed her hat, allowing her straight hair to frame her face as she toured the Royal Collections German-related exhibits in the Green Drawing Room. This sleek style marked a notable change from her typical curled look, aligning more closely with Princess Charlottes signature long, straight locks.

The royal couple shares three children: Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7. Charlotte often wears her straight hair simply, sometimes adding braids or bows for official appearances. The young princess also kept her hairstyle understated during a surprise public appearance at the UEFA Women's EURO 2025 final in Switzerland this past July.
