Katy Perry meets with former Japanese prime minister over lunch alongside Justin Trudeau

Katy Perry, 41, made a memorable appearance in Japan, joining her partner, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, for a high-profile lunch with Fumio Kishida, who served as Japan's prime minister from 2021 to 2024. The event highlighted the ongoing friendly relations between the two countries, even after both leaders have stepped back from active political roles.

Kishida expressed appreciation for Trudeau, noting the continuation of their personal and diplomatic friendship. "Former Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau came to Japan with his partner Katy Perry and had lunch with us," he shared via social media. He also referenced their past collaboration on strengthening bilateral relations, including the development of the 'Nikka Action Plan,' and mentioned Trudeau's visit to the Atomic Bomb Archives during the G7 Hiroshima Summit.

For the occasion, Perry wore a stylish green two-piece outfit paired with black tights, a turtleneck blouse, and matching boots. Trudeau opted for a gray suit with coordinating slacks. The couple appeared close, with Perry linking arms with Trudeau during the lunch with Kishida and his wife, Yuko.

Earlier, on October 25, Perry and Trudeau made their first public outing as a couple in Paris, attending a cabaret show at Crazy Horse to celebrate Perrys 41st birthday.

Despite his separation from Sophie Grgoire Trudeau in 2023, Trudeau maintains a united family life with his ex, co-parenting their three children Xavier, 18, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11. Grgoire recently discussed handling public attention regarding Trudeau and Perry's relationship, emphasizing her focus on personal growth and maintaining emotional balance.

Katy Perry had previously ended her long-term relationship with actor Orlando Bloom in July. The pair shares a 5-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.
