A man has been formally charged with murder after a stabbing incident outside a restaurant. Hertfordshire Police responded to a dispute between two men at the Vu Lounge on Bushey High Street around 23:30 GMT on Saturday.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries and later succumbed to them. Dequarn Williams, 25, from Sancroft Close in north-west London, was initially charged with attempted murder, but the charge was subsequently upgraded to murder.
He is scheduled to appear at St Albans Crown Court on 5 December. Additionally, a woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of aiding an offender but has been released on bail as investigations continue, according to police.
Detective Inspector Lee Martin stated: "Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of the victim during this tragic time. The investigation is progressing rapidly, and a suspect has been charged with murder and is now in custody. We are confident this was an isolated event and poses no threat to the wider community."
