Man Arrested for Reckless Driving in Stolen Corvette Thanks to Social Media Posts

Early Saturday morning, Parkland streets witnessed a dramatic scene as a stolen black Corvette became the centerpiece of a dangerous joyride. Around 12:30 a.m., a vigilant deputy noticed the sports car speeding through the 112th and Pacific intersection, performing risky maneuvers and causing tires to screech.

When the deputy attempted to pull the vehicle over, it quickly disappeared from sight. Backup units arrived promptly, but the Corvette had vanished, leaving law enforcement struggling to catch up. Authorities later discovered the car had been reported stolen, and neighboring agencies had previously failed to intercept it.

The breakthrough came after deputies linked the vehicle to a residence, aided by social media posts showing the same car performing reckless stunts that night. These online videos provided the critical evidence needed for law enforcement to act.

Authorities arrested a 21-year-old suspect, who now faces charges including eluding law enforcement, possession of a stolen vehicle, and existing outstanding warrants. Investigators continue to examine the Corvettes past incidents and the extent of the suspects reckless driving.
