Police oversight to investigate 'mysterious' death in custody

Police Scotland have voluntarily reported an incident to the independent oversight authority following the sudden death of a man while in police custody in Glasgow. The 39-year-old was found deceased at the location after a disturbance occurred on Berkeley Street on Friday morning.
In addition to the fatality, a 27-year-old man and two women, aged 25 and 40, sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital. Their conditions were reported as non-life-threatening.
The circumstances surrounding the event have been formally handed over to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner (PIRC) for further examination.
The incident has resulted in one fatality and three people injured during a confrontation at a Glasgow property.
