Tara Reid maintains her claims of being drugged despite police not finding video evidence

Tara Reid continues to assert that she may have been drugged at a Chicago hotel, even though police investigators reported finding no surveillance footage showing her drink being tampered with.

Reid initially came forward in late November, claiming that after meeting a high-profile influencer and YouTuber, her drink at the hotel bar was altered while she stepped outside for a cigarette. She stated that she was hospitalized for eight hours and has no memory of events following the consumption of the drink.

The last thing I remember is sipping my drink and noticing a couple seated nearby, Reid said. The next thing I knew, I woke up in the hospital over eight hours later, completely unaware of what had happened. I experienced a total blackout.

The Rosemont Police Department confirmed that they investigated the incident, and their findings were released earlier this week. While surveillance footage captured Tara Reid at the hotel bar, there is no evidence in the video showing anyone tampering with or adding substances to her drink, authorities stated.

Despite the lack of video proof, Reid reaffirmed her position in a statement, saying, No one ends up hospitalized and incapacitated for over eight hours after a regular drink. I am convinced I was druggedsomething happened to me.

Reid described waking up in the hospital with no recollection as the most terrifying experience of her life and said the event has had a severe impact on her mental health. I cannot sleep thinking about it; not knowing what happened is a frightening feeling, she added.

Initially, Reid claimed that a napkin had been placed over her unattended drink while she stepped outside, which she found suspicious. Police clarified that the napkin was put there by a bartender, explaining, Covering a drink when a guest leaves the bar is standard practice.

The investigation is ongoing while chemical tests from Reids hospitalization are reviewed. Police noted, At this time, no criminal act has been identified, and no individual is under investigation. Although there is no evidence of drink tampering, this serves as a reminder to never leave a drink unattended.
