US special envoy Steve Witkoff, accompanied by Jared Kushner, was scheduled to meet Putin on Tuesday as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. Putin, however, has consistently rejected compromise, insisting on demands that Ukraine reduce its military, cede territory, and abandon NATO aspirations.
