The Royal Poinciana Plaza Unveils 2025 Holiday Surfboard Tree Designed by Loewe

This festive season, The Royal Poinciana Plaza continues its legacy of merging art with celebration by presenting the 2025 Surfboard Tree, crafted by the Spanish luxury brand Loewe. Bringing its artistic heritage to Palm Beach, Loewe reimagines its holiday collection through a vibrant three-dimensional installation, inspired by British illustrator Louis Wain (18601939), famously known as The Man Who Drew Cats.

For the past eight years, the Surfboard Tree has signaled the beginning of Palm Beachs holiday festivities. Esteemed designers who have contributed to this annual tradition include Assouline, Thom Browne, Iris Apfel, and Johnson Hartig of Libertine. Loewes design this year playfully references Wains imaginative world of cats, blending whimsy with the brands refined craftsmanship.

The installation reflects Wains quirky feline universe through a capsule collection featuring bags, small leather goods, accessories, and ready-to-wear items. Cat-shaped clutches echo Wains original ceramics, while other pieces reinterpret feline motifsfaces, paws, and stripesacross signature Loewe forms. Additionally, a patterned design unites multiple cat characters, expanding on Wains artistic vision. Techniques such as intarsia, embroidery, and printed designs highlight the fusion of Wains creativity with Loewes artisanal expertise.

Entering the world of Loewe means stepping into joy, playfulness, and adventure, said Samantha David, president of WS Development. That spirit perfectly complements the Royal. Bold and whimsical, the Surfboard Tree embodies the imaginative essence of Palm Beach, and we are delighted to share it with our community.

Earlier this year, Loewe launched a new boutique in the Royal Poinciana Plaza Playhouse, offering womens ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, small leather goods, soft accessories, and eyewear. The 2025 Loewe Surfboard Tree will be officially revealed during the Plazas Holiday event on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and it will remain on display through January 4.
