Crayola recalls products due to safety hazard for children

Crayola has initiated a recall affecting thousands of products available across the United States, including items sold at Michaels stores and online. The recall targets the 24-piece CreateOn Crayola-branded pip-Cubes, which contain magnets that may detach and pose serious risks if swallowed by children, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Approximately 9,400 sets are involved in the recall due to the potential danger of ingestion. The hazard can lead to magnets becoming trapped in the digestive tract, which may cause intestinal perforations, twisting or blockages, blood poisoning, or even fatal outcomes.

The recalled products include:

  • Bold Colors, 24 Cubes Model 850067300199
  • Bold Colors, 27 Cubes Model 850067300205
  • Glitter Cubes, 24 Cubes Model 850067300205
  • Glitter Cubes, 27 Cubes Model 850067300250

Consumers who own any of these magnetic cubes should contact CreateOn to request a replacement set. A pre-paid return label will be provided for sending back the recalled items.
