In-N-Out to open locations in Tennessee by the end of the year

Fans of In-N-Out have long hoped the iconic burger chain would expand to the East Coast, but the company previously cited logistical challenges as a reason to hold off. Now, by the close of 2025, residents east of the Mississippi will finally get a taste of the famed Double-Double with Animal Style.

The popular Southern California brand confirmed that its initial Tennessee locations will open in Middle Tennessee before the year ends, though exact dates have not been announced. The restaurants in Lebanon, Antioch, and Murfreesboro are expected to start serving customers by December 31, while a fourth site in Franklin is slated to debut in early 2026.

To support these new outlets, In-N-Out is planning a 100,000-square-foot eastern regional office near Nashville, scheduled to open late next year. Additionally, company president Lynsi Snyder intends to relocate to Tennessee with her family.

Despite this expansion, Snyder has indicated that other East Coast states are still off-limits. During a July interview on the Relatable podcast, she explained that the company can supply Tennessee from its Texas warehouse, but broader East Coast expansion remains unfeasible at this time.

Historically, In-N-Out has shied away from locations east of the Mississippi, preserving its cult following in the states where it operates. The chain is celebrated as a top burger destination in the U.S., having only ever closed one restaurant in its 75-year history, an Oakland, California location, due to theft, property damage, and robberies.
