Packers expected to trade two Pro Bowlers this offseason following Micah Parsons' lucrative deal

The Green Bay Packers made a bold move by acquiring Micah Parsons and signing him to a massive $46 million per year contract. However, this investment creates financial challenges that may force the team to make tough roster decisions.

According to NFL Trade Rumors journalist Logan Ulrich, two former Pro Bowlers could be on the trade block this offseason: edge rusher Rashan Gary and offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins.

Rashan Gary

Gary has shown talent as an edge defender, though he has yet to reach Parsons' elite level. Ulrich notes, "Gary's performance is intriguing; he has recorded 7.5 sacks in 12 games, complementing Parsons. Yet his overall impact is inconsistent, particularly given how Parsons draws significant attention from opposing blockers. With a $19.5 million salary due in 2026, his position with the Packers isnt guaranteed."

Elgton Jenkins

Jenkins is a dependable offensive lineman but is also due a substantial amount of money. "Jenkins carries a $20 million contract, which could be a high price for another team, yet he has proven himself as a versatile and reliable starter across the line. With interior linemen earning large contracts as free agents recently, $20 million may not be unreasonable," Ulrich adds.

Immediate Priorities

For now, Green Bay's primary focus remains on the current season. The Packers are competing for the NFC North crown and the top seed in the conference. Upcoming games against the Chicago Bears in the final weeks will play a crucial role in determining their playoff positioning.

Once the season concludes, the team will have to address the long-term consequences of the Parsons trade, balancing roster talent with salary cap realities.
