Sarah Ferguson to Share Granny Flat with Another Royal After Cancelling Portugal Plans

Sarah Ferguson appears to have dropped plans to relocate to Portugal with Princess Eugenie and is now anticipated to settle in a granny flat at Princess Beatrices residence. A source told the Daily Mail that a separate annex is being prepared for the former Duchess of York at Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's 3.5 million Oxfordshire estate.

Its an ideal arrangement for Sarah because it keeps her close to her daughter while remaining fully independent from the main house where Beatrice and Edoardo live, the insider revealed. She could easily walk a few steps to help care for Sienna, whom she adores.

The insider also explained that this move allows Sarah to avoid relocating abroad. Since Eugenie is living in Portugal, this makes perfect sense, they added.

According to planning documents obtained by the Daily Mail, the new accommodation is a small one-bedroom building that was previously used as a cattle shed on Beatrice's property. The Princess and her husband recently completed renovations to convert it into a cozy living space.

The granny annex appears ready for immediate occupancy, the source continued, suggesting that Sarah may move in before Christmas.

This news follows the fallout from the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor scandal. Earlier this year, he lost his final titles and was removed from Royal Lodge due to his alleged association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The former Prince is expected to spend one last Christmas at Royal Lodgethe home he shared with Fergie for many years despite their divorcebefore relocating to a Sandringham Estate property at King Charles expense.
