Amy Schumer Clarifies Divorce Rumors in Instagram Post that has since been Deleted

Amy Schumer has addressed circulating rumors about a potential split from her husband, Chris Fischer. The I Feel Pretty actress shared her thoughts in an Instagram reel on Monday, which has since been removed, and followed up with an Instagram story on Wednesday.

On Monday, Schumer posted about her recent weight loss and commented on speculation surrounding her wedding ring, before mentioning her marriage. I never wear jewelry, she stated. She continued, Whatever happens between Chris and me has nothing to do with weight loss or autism, referencing Fischers 2019 diagnosis. She concluded with, Fingers crossed we make it through. Hes the best.

In the deleted reel, Schumer directly addressed rumors suggesting the couple was heading for divorce. On Wednesday, she shared a nostalgic Instagram story showing her wearing a necklace during a 2007 appearance on Last Comic Standing, joking that it was the last time I wore jewelry.

Schumer and Fischer, who married in 2018, welcomed their son, Gene, in 2019. A source familiar with the couple told People magazine in November that both remain committed to their marriage, adding, Theyre privately working through normal issues that couples in long-term marriages have.

Earlier this year, the comedian celebrated her seventh wedding anniversary with Fischer, humorously referencing their prenup. Seven years ago we signed a prenup and havent had to utilize it! Love you babe, she wrote alongside a wedding-day photo.
