Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor and Russell Hornsby are added to the cast of ''Tis So Sweet''

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor and Russell Hornsby have been added to the cast of the upcoming Netflix movie 'Tis So Sweet, alongside Taraji P. Henson and Joey Bada$$. The film is produced by Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin, according to Deadline.

Ellis-Taylor previously collaborated with Henson in the musical adaptation of The Color Purple, while Hornsby starred with her in Something New. Also joining the cast are Franklin and director Tasha Smith, along with Alexis Louder, Arischa Conner, Caroline Avery Granger, and Angela Davis.

'Tis So Sweet tells the true story of Lenore Lindsey, following Henson's character, a bakery owner from Chicago. She is shaken by a miraculous discovery that forces her to confront her past, heal emotional scars, and find renewed purpose in life. The movie explores themes of redemption and healing.

This marks the second faith-based film produced by Perry and Franklin as part of their collaboration with Netflix.
