David Archuleta has released a new Christmas EP titled My Only Wish and is taking a unique approach to performing it live. Instead of a traditional tour, he is hosting two exclusive residencies: a five-night engagement at Joe's Pub in New York City from December 9-14 and a two-night stint at LA's Peppermint Club on December 18-19.

Archuleta enjoys the intimacy of these smaller venues. "I've never done something like this before, and these are really cozy, lounge-style settings," he tells ABC Audio. "They each hold around 200 people, which makes it feel more like a crooner's performance. It gives me that Rat Pack energy, like Frank Sinatra or Dean Martinjust hanging out in a Vegas lounge."

He emphasizes that the focus is on creating a warm, festive atmosphere. "It's all about the vibe, which is fun to revisit during the holiday season," Archuleta says. "I'll be embracing the classic Christmas feelits timeless and nostalgic, and that makes it enjoyable."

While the season inspires nostalgia, David is thrilled that many of his current fans are newer listeners. "A lot of my fans have just recently discovered my music and dont even know I started on American Idol," he shares. "Hearing them say, 'I just found your music and I love it' is incredibly rewarding. It reassures me that my connection with people goes beyond nostalgia and that I have a place in pop music today."
