Details of ‘Landman’ Season 3 Return

The high-stakes world of Landman is returning for another round. Season 2 premiered on Paramount+ on Sunday, November 16, delivering intense drama from the very first episode. The latest season has followed Cami (Demi Moore) as she asserts her control over M-Tex following her late husbands passing, only to confront the harsh reality of the companys severe financial troubles.

Meanwhile, Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) and Angela (Ali Larter) are navigating uncertainties about their future, Aynsley (Michelle Randolph) is adjusting to college life, and Cooper (Jacob Lofland) has scored big with new oil fields worth millions, though his ambitions are causing friction with Ariana (Paulina Chvez).

The season also introduced T.L. (Sam Elliott), Tommys father, in a nursing home setting, while revealing that Tommys mother has passed away. Season 2 is packed with multiple storylines that continue to unfold.

Season 3 Confirmation

Paramount+ confirmed on December 5 that Landman has been renewed for a third season, following impressive viewership numbers for Season 2. The premiere drew 9.2 million streams in just the first two daysa 262% increase compared to Season 1s launchand became the largest premiere for any original on the platform. Billy Bob Thornton has also committed to the series for four or five years, ensuring continuity for the shows major players.

What to Expect in Season 3

Series co-creator Christian Wallace, who developed the show alongside Taylor Sheridan, shared that the current season has only scratched the surface. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Wallace said the cast has grown deeply connected to their characters, making future storytelling more compelling.

As long as everyone is enjoying it and the story remains engaging, we hope to continue for as long as the narrative allows. Theres still plenty of room to explore, he explained.

Potential Release Timeline

Wallace hinted that Season 3 may follow a similar schedule to Season 2, roughly a year after the previous seasons premiere. We want to get back as soon as possible. The team, both cast and crew, is eager to return and continue the story, he said.
