Etro Pre-Fall 2026: Staying at Home

Etro has long been known for creating a sense of ease across the world, and under Marco De Vincenzos creative direction over the past three years, this global, eclectic spirit has flourished. His collections have alternated between honoring the houses iconic codes and showcasing his own artistic vision, with pre-collections often hitting the perfect balance.

The pre-fall 2026 line demonstrates this harmony perfectly. The collections signature vibrant patterns and rich color palettes highlight that, for Etro enthusiasts, home can exist anywhere. The designs blend references to luxurious interiors with a free-spirited approach that transcends geographical boundaries.

Daywear Inspired by the Shetlands

The opening segment, focused on daywear, drew inspiration from the Shetland Islands and quaint cottages. The pieces combined tapestry-like patterns, dense botanical motifs reminiscent of classic wallpapers, tartan and plaid, and Etros iconic paisley. De Vincenzo remarked, I like to imagine this woman almost camouflaging and disappearing in the environment she lives in, reflecting Etros roots in home collections.

Some items interpreted the theme directly, such as velvet corsets and trousers evoking plush furniture, while others referenced Scotland more subtly, like leather garments with dgrad effects inspired by the Northern Lights.

Far Eastern Inspirations

As the collection progressed, Far Eastern influences became prominent. Outerwear ranged from chunky jacquard coats and oversized shearling jackets to embroidered and kimono-style coats. Heavy-knit pieces with frayed finishes created a tactile, blanket-like quality, contrasting with flowing printed dresses and tailored separates that concluded the lineup.

De Vincenzo explained, In the end, to stay in our own territory pays off commercially. Sometimes you feel less contemporary than youd like to be, because the world isnt as colorful and eccentric. But for us and our customer it is, so it feels right to indulge in it.
