Gilmore Girls Continues: Lauren Graham, Amy Sherman-Palladino Collaborate on Behind-The-Scenes Book

While a full revival isn't on the horizon, fans of "Gilmore Girls" have something exciting to look forward to. Amy Sherman-Palladino, the creator of the iconic WB/CW series, is collaborating with lead actress Lauren Graham on a nonfiction book that delves into the making of the show.

The announcement came during NBC's "Today" show, where host Carson Daly revealed, "We can exclusively announce an untitled book is in the works, taking the readers behind the scenes of the beloved series." Graham later confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing a series of "Gilmore Girls"-themed images and writing, "Because we love you, Amy and I are working on a new 'Gilmore Girls' book. Get your coffee ready!"

The upcoming book promises to blend humor, personal reflections, and previously untold stories. According to the official description obtained by People, "Lauren Graham and Amy Sherman-Palladino offer an intimate, behind-the-scenes portrait of their creative partnership and the spark that defined Lorelai Gilmore and the world of Stars Hollow." It will revisit memorable moments from the set, capturing the charm, wit, and heart that have made the show a lasting favorite.

The book is scheduled for release in Fall 2027.

"Gilmore Girls" first premiered 25 years ago and follows the close-knit mother-daughter duo, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. The series originally aired for seven seasons from 2000 to 2007 and later returned for a four-part Netflix revival in 2016, titled "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life."

The duo behind the series have maintained a connection with fans over the years. Last December, Lauren Graham reunited with Scott Patterson (Luke) and Sean Gunn (Kirk) for a nostalgic Walmart commercial set in Stars Hollow, giving audiences another glimpse into the beloved fictional town.
