Actress Miss Benny, recognized for her leading role in Netflixs dramedy Glamorous alongside Kim Cattrall, has joined the cast of Jordan Firstmans first feature film, Club Kid. She joins previously confirmed cast members Firstman himself, Cara Delevingne, and Diego Calva, with newcomer Reggie Absolom portraying the films central character.
The story centers on a once-prominent underground party promoter whose life is upended when he unexpectedly becomes responsible for a son he never knew existed. This project, produced by Tropics Studios, recently completed filming and represents producer Alex Cocos first major undertaking following the success of the Sean Baker and Mikey Madison dramedy Anora, which earned multiple Academy Awards earlier this year.
Club Kid was filmed on 35mm film by Emmy-winning cinematographer Adam Newport Berra, known for his work on The Studio. Miss Bennys past screen credits include the GLAAD-nominated Fuller House (2019), Love, Victor (2021), and American Horror Story (2021). She is also set to appear in Ray Panthakis directorial debut In Starland. Her representation includes CAA, Select Management Group, and the law firm Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush, Kaller, Gellman, Meigs & Fox.
Production for Club Kid is led by Alex Coco in collaboration with Galen Core (Pet Shop Days, Lurker). Executive producers include Jordan Firstman, Olmo Schnabel, and Daniela Taplin. The film is produced and financed by Topic, with Stay Gold serving as co-financier. Worldwide sales are being managed by UTA Independent Film Group.
Jordan Firstman recently appeared in HBOs I Love L.A., which stars Rachel Sennott, Odessa Azion, True Whitaker, and Josh Hutcherson, and was renewed for a second season last month.
