Grizzly bear runs past trail camera, showing huge claws

Yukon Wildlife Cams recently posted video capturing a black bear rubbing against a tree to leave its scent, only for a grizzly bear to take over the same tree five days later. This behavior, known as back scratching, serves both to mark territory and to relieve itches.

The footage highlights the bears impressive size, showing the grizzly in action as it charges toward the trail camera. Its enormous claws and powerful movements are fully visible, giving viewers a rare glimpse of the bears raw strength.

Back scratches not only reveal the physical scale of these animals but also their instinctive scent-marking habits. This clip has drawn comparisons to a remarkable similar sighting from August 2021, also captured by Yukon Wildlife Cams.

The video captures the grizzly enjoying a vigorous scratch before moving directly toward the camera, head bobbing and claws extended in slow motion. Observers noted the intensity of the moment, with one comment asking, Can you imagine standing where the trail camera is?

This extraordinary footage offers an up-close look at grizzly behavior and the formidable power of one of North Americas largest predators.
