Jessica Alba was 'Dreaded' while filming a nude scene in 'Fantastic Four': 'It was very humiliating in real life'

Jessica Alba recently shared her memories of working on the 2005 Marvel film Fantastic Four. The 44-year-old actress, speaking at the Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia on December 5, revealed that her most uncomfortable moment on set was a nude scene shot on a busy bridge, according to Variety.

In the sequence, Albas character, Sue Storm who can turn invisible begins by removing her clothes to show her bra and underwear, eventually becoming fully nude while invisible. Fellow actors Ioan Gruffudd and Chris Evans were present in the scene as well.

I thought that was awful, Alba said. It was very humiliating in real life. I grew up in a fairly conservative household and consider myself modest. I dreaded filming that scene for weeks. It left me with a lot of emotional whiplash.

Despite the discomfort, Alba expressed admiration for her character. She returned as Sue Storm in the 2007 sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Sue Storm was a character I really respected, Alba reflected. She was nurturing, kind, yet assertive, with a strong moral compass. Anyone could look up to her.

The actress also noted how female characters in superhero films have evolved over time. Back then, women often had to be rescued by men or villains, she said. Things are different now.
