Kelly Ripa confesses to relocating another passenger's bag following 'hostile' confrontation on plane

During a Live with Kelly and Mark episode on Tuesday, Dec. 2, Kelly Ripa revealed an incident where she moved a fellow passengers carry-on in the airplane overhead compartment. The 55-year-old actress explained that her action, while breaking a common unspoken rule of air travel, was prompted by the other travelers aggressive behavior toward her.

Ripa recounted the experience alongside her husband and co-host, Mark Consuelos, who witnessed the moment. She explained that initially, the overhead bins seemed surprisingly empty, allowing her to place her bag without issue. I usually slide my backpack under the seat, but this time I put it in the overhead since it was so empty, she said.

However, the situation quickly changed when a man seated in front of her boarded. He completely ignored the empty space and put his suitcase on top of my bag, which felt really aggressive, Ripa described. As she shared the story, Consuelos listened and nodded knowingly.

Ripa then admitted, I got up and moved his bag off mine, illustrating the motion with her hands. Consuelos added, affirming her action, Thats right. You just shoved it over.

The mom of threeMichael, 28, Joaquin, 22, and Lola, 24did not say how the man reacted, but she reflected on her satisfaction after handling the situation. I just thought, Ha! and sat back down, she recounted, later texting her husband about the encounter and calling it a weird flex.

While Consuelos suggested the passenger may not have noticed Ripas backpack initially, she insisted that it was clearly visible.

The couple, married nearly 30 years, frequently share humorous and relatable travel stories on their show. In a previous episode, Ripa jokingly mentioned the idea of an airport divorce due to their differing travel habits and philosophies.
