Kelly Ripa experienced a confrontational interaction with a disrespectful man on an airplane after he made a strange boastful gesture towards her.

Kelly Ripa recounted a recent experience with an "aggressive" man on a plane, describing a peculiar behavior he displayed during the flight. Her husband, Mark Consuelos, also criticized an airline for its cumbersome baggage policies.

The couple spoke about their airline frustrations on Live With Kelly & Mark on Tuesday. Consuelos, known for previously confronting a passenger over overhead bin space, advised viewers to board flights early to secure storage above their seats.

"The sooner you get on, the more likely you are to have space in the overhead bin directly above your seat," Consuelos explained. He then criticized a particular airline's multi-tiered boarding procedure, highlighting how by the time general boarding begins, overhead space is often gone.

Ripa shared her own challenging air travel moment, this time involving another passenger rather than the airline. She noticed an empty overhead compartment near their seats and placed her carry-on there. A man who boarded after her placed his bag on top of hers, which she found aggressive.

"I moved his bag off my backpack, then sent Mark a text about it. I thought it was a weird flex," Ripa recalled.

In a related anecdote, Ripa also remembered a time when every overhead compartment was full, prompting Consuelos to intervene by repositioning another passenger's bag and helping secure Ripa's luggage.

"I didn't even ask him. I shamed him into doing that," Consuelos said, referring to getting the bag under the seat.
