Kyle Richards shares 'best news' about Teddi Mellencamp being cancer-free

NEW YORK Kyle Richards expressed immense joy over the positive news regarding her friend and former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" co-star Teddi Mellencamp's health. "Shes cancer-free, which is incredible," Richards shared. "Thats the best news anyone could receive."

Richards also mentioned that Mellencamp is among the former cast members she would happily have return to the show. The two quickly formed a strong bond after Mellencamp joined in Season 8, continuing their support for each other following Mellencamps departure as a main cast member in 2020 after Season 10.

Mellencamp, 44, revealed in 2022 that she was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma. By early 2025, she announced that the cancer had spread to her lungs and brain. In 2024, she shared news of her separation from husband Edwin Arroyave after 13 years of marriage, though the divorce process was paused during her treatment. Mellencamp and Arroyave share four children: Slate, 13, Cruz, 10, Dove, 5, and she also has a stepdaughter, Bella.

Richards, 56, has been a consistent source of support during Mellencamps health journey. "She gives me pep talks too, so were definitely there for each other," Richards said. She described Mellencamps fluctuating energy, noting that some days are tough, while others she is able to pull through and shine.

Richards highlighted Mellencamps ongoing podcast, "Two Ts In A Pod," which she co-hosts with fellow reality star Tamra Judge, as a positive outlet. "Shes still producing her podcast and working, but its challenging. Even though shes cancer-free, shes focused on reclaiming her life," Richards added.

Richards praised Mellencamps courage at BravoCon 2025, where Mellencamp attended despite concerns about her energy levels. "I reassured her that the excitement there would boost her energy. She did great, and it was a fun experience," Richards said.

At the convention, Mellencamp appeared on the red carpet and participated in a panel with other "Housewives" stars, describing the experience as "overwhelming with love." She also shared an update on her health, noting that her mood and energy fluctuate, but staying active helps maintain a positive mindset.
