Lily Collins goes on a Roman adventure in 'Emily in Paris' season 5 official trailer

Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for the fifth season of Emily in Paris, signaling a new chapter for Emily, played by Lily Collins. The American marketing professional, who previously relocated to Paris for her career, now finds herself in Rome, facing new challenges both professionally and romantically. This season, Emily takes on the role of head of Agence Grateau in Rome, which brings its own set of complications.

As Emily navigates life in Italy, a work-related idea backfires, leading to unforeseen consequences that affect both her personal life and career. The situation takes a toll, but Emily turns to her French roots for comfort, even as a major secret threatens one of her closest friendships. The official synopsis hints that, despite the turmoil, Emily will confront these challenges with honesty and emerge stronger, with clearer goals and a more open outlook on life.

The trailer teases moments where Emily grows closer to her new love interest, Marcello, portrayed by Eugenio Franceschini. However, she can't help but long for her life in Paris. "Rome is so new and exciting, but Ive built a life for myself in Paris, and everything is just going on without me," Emily reflects in the trailer. Meanwhile, we catch glimpses of Emilys best friend Mindy (Ashley Park) and her ex-boyfriend Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), sharing playful interactions that seem to hint at the rekindling of old sparks.

Season 5 features a star-studded cast, including Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Bruno Gouery as Luc, William Abadie as Antoine Lambert, Thalia Besson as Genevieve, Paul Forman as Nico, Arnaud Binard as Laurent G, Minnie Driver as Princess Jane, Bryan Greenberg as Jake, and Michle Laroque as Yvette. The series was created by Darren Starr, who also serves as an executive producer and writer.

The fifth season of Emily in Paris will be available for streaming on Netflix starting December 18, with all 10 episodes released at once.
