Queer comedian and actor Cameron Esposito and their spouse Katy Nishimoto have joyfully welcomed their first child. The couple shared the news on Instagram, announcing the birth of Yumi Young Esposito Nishimoto on November 27. "WE ARE OVER THE MOON," Esposito wrote in their post.

Esposito, known for roles in A Million Little Things and Take My Wife, also hosted the podcast Queery for seven years. They have released multiple comedy specials, including Four Pills, which premiered in April 2025. In this special, Esposito candidly discussed receiving a bipolar disorder diagnosis at age 40.

Friends and colleagues quickly shared their congratulations online. Actor Leo Sheng wrote, "Omg Yumi congrats," while comedian Catherine McCafferty simply said, "Congrats." Melissa King, Top Chef winner, added, "Yay!! Congrats!!" Author and podcaster Balir Imani commented on Espositos dedication, noting, "A whole standup special ONE WEEK before giving birth? Next level legend behavior MashaAllah."

The couple exchanged vows in 2021, with Esposito previously sharing on social media, "A few weeks ago, Katy & I got married. We were alone on the day (w/ friends & fam on zoom) so we took photos beforehand."

Throughout the pregnancy, Esposito kept followers updated on social media and even performed a stand-up routine about the experience on November 23, just weeks before welcoming Yumi.
