Ryan Reynolds and Freddie Freeman Join Forces for Holiday Campaign in Support of SickKids

Ryan Reynolds has joined forces with fellow Canadian and Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman for his annual holiday initiative supporting Torontos Hospital for Sick Children and the SickKids Foundation. The campaigns signature video takes a humorous turn when Freeman visits young patients in the hospital.

As Freeman cheerfully introduces himself, one child wearing a Blue Jays jersey quips, What a loser! Another child adds with playful sarcasm, Trust me, man, we know who you are. The reactions reflect lingering disappointment from the Dodgers 2025 World Series victory over the Blue Jays.

Reynolds explained that he reached out to Freeman back in March to take part in the campaign, following the example of Canadians like Seth Rogen and Michael Bubl who have previously contributed. The videos primary goal is to raise awareness and funds for SickKids, helping the hospital acquire crucial equipment for its young patients.

For the seventh consecutive year, Reynolds dons his festive Ugly Christmas Sweater to champion the SickKids Foundation. Despite the playful jeers from children and a hospital nurse, Freeman turns to the camera and praises the hospitals work, saying, By the way, I love what you guys are doing here.

Viewers are encouraged to donate before midnight on Christmas Eve, with an anonymous benefactor pledging to match all contributions up to $1 million. This years video also features SickKids patients Logan, Olivia, Daniel, and Cali, alongside nurse Nadia, joining Reynolds and Freeman in spreading holiday cheer and support.
