Samara Weaving stars in 'Ready or Not 2: Here I Come' trailer, playing a dangerous game again

The official trailer for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come has been released by Searchlight Pictures, offering a glimpse into the next chapter of the horror saga. The film picks up immediately after Samara Weaving's character, Grace, survived the terrifying events orchestrated by the Le Domas family in the first movie.

According to the film's synopsis, Grace now faces a more dangerous challenge: "She has entered the next stage of a deadly game, this time alongside her estranged sister, Faith (Kathryn Newton). Grace must fight to survive, protect her sister, and seize control of the High Seat of the Council, a powerful body that rules the world. Four rival families are vying for the throne, and only the victor will hold ultimate power."

The sequel introduces new faces to the franchise, including Sarah Michelle Gellar as Ursula Danforth, Shawn Hatosy as Titus Danforth, and David Cronenberg as Mr. Danforth. Returning actors Nstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, and Elijah Wood also play pivotal roles in the continuation of the 2019 story.

In the trailer, Elijah Wood's character, The Lawyer, ominously warns: "You've stirred up the Le Domas family. You survived Hide and Seek, and now a new, more dangerous game awaits, involving the High Council families. It's double or nothing."

Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, with a screenplay by Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is scheduled to hit theaters on April 10, 2026.
