Savannah Guthrie had a priceless reaction when the TODAY Show shared its hosts Spotify playlists. The NBC morning program joined the annual Wrapped trend, highlighting each hosts most-played tracks of the year.
The Instagram post featured the favorite songs of all six hosts: Al Roker, Willie Geist, Jenna Bush Hager, Sheinelle Jones, Craig Melvin, and Guthrie. Roker, 71, leaned heavily on timeless classics, including Elton John, The OJays, Hues Corporation, and the Daniel Caine Orchestra. In contrast, Sheinelle Jones showed a strong preference for Olivia Dean, with nearly all her top songs coming from the British singer. Willie Geists playlist balanced between Morgan Wallen and Eric Church, while Craig Melvins selections ranged from Kendrick Lamar and Jelly Roll to country acts like The Marshall Tucker Band.
Meanwhile, Hager and Guthrie gravitated toward contemporary pop. Hager favored artists like Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams, Alex Warren, and The Red Clay Strays. Guthries playlist included Ella Langley, Benson Boone, Gracie Abrams, and Tate McRae.
The release of the playlists prompted playful reactions from fans, many of whom commented on the hosts musical tastes. One fan joked, Willies playlist concerns me, while another remarked, I could road trip with Al based on that playlist. Others praised the choices, with one noting, Willie and Savannah have picked some great ones!
Guthrie herself responded to the attention, humorously clarifying, Please note my 11-year-old is on the account. Her comment delighted followers, who complimented her daughters music taste. A fellow parent shared, @savannahguthrie can relate. mine is full of K-pop demon hunters lol.
On a global scale, Spotify Wrapped named Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny the most-streamed artist of 2025, accumulating over 19.8 billion plays. Taylor Swift came in second, followed by The Weeknd, with Drake and Billie Eilish rounding out the top five.
