The Beatles have returned to the Billboard charts with the reissue of Anthology 4, the latest installment in their Anthology series. This release includes 36 tracks, featuring 13 previously unreleased demos and session recordings.
The album achieved top-10 positions on five separate Billboard charts. It reached #9 on both the Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales charts. Additionally, it is positioned at #7 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart, #6 on the Top Rock Albums chart, and #3 on the Indie Store Album Sales chart.
Anthology 4 was made available as an individual album and as part of The Anthology Collection box set, which debuted at #48 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. The Collection brings together the first three Anthology releases from the 1990s, which previously reached #1 on the Billboard 200 and the Top Album Sales chart.
The timing of this release coincided with the launch on Disney+ of a newly restored and remastered version of the Anthology documentary series, originally aired on ABC in 1995. The updated series has expanded from eight to nine episodes. Additionally, a 25th anniversary edition of The Beatles Anthology book was released in October.
