Vaughan describes the orthopedic surgeon as a bit of a wanderer who arrives at Fairmont Crest and has connections with some of the hospital staff.

Original Story (October 6, 2025): Beyond the Gates is welcoming Greg Vaughan to its cast. The experienced soap actor, known for his time on Days of Our Lives, was spotted on set in a video shared by co-star Trisha Mann-Grant during Clifton Davis 80th birthday celebration on October 3. Vaughan can be seen briefly in the background of the clip.

His specific role remained a secret at the time. The shows creator, Michele Val Jean, hinted that a familiar soap actor would soon join the fictional Maryland town of BTG. Soap fans will be in for a surprise, she said, adding that a hot male would be coming aboard, likely referring to Vaughan. I cant reveal his identity just yet, but longtime soap enthusiasts will recognize and love him, she told Deadline.

This fall, Vaughan is also reprising his role as Eric Brady on Days of Our Lives in celebration of the soaps 60th anniversary. He previously returned to Salem earlier this year to honor his late on-screen father, Drake Hogestyn.
