Zoe Saldana's Children Plan to Watch 'Avatar' in a Year

Zoe Saldana has revealed that her children have yet to see any of the Avatar films. In a recent interview, the actress and mother of three explained that she prefers her kids to enjoy her movies when they feel completely ready. Meanwhile, they have already watched some of her other hits, such as Guardians of the Galaxy.

Saldana shares three sons with her husband, Marco Perego-Saldana: twins Cy and Bowie, both 11, and Zen, 8.

Her Kids Take Their Time With Movies

Speaking to E! News, Zoe mentioned that her children can be selective about the films they watch. While they havent yet experienced the Avatar series, they are open to it when the moment is right.

My boys are gentle. Theyre beautiful flowers. Theyre resilient, but they go at their own pace, and I respect that, she said.

The actress added that her children understand they might not be ready for the sci-fi epic just yet, but it doesnt rule out watching it in the future. In fact, her older sons assured her, In a year, mama, well be ready for Avatar, we promise.

While the kids havent delved into much of Saldanas filmography, they have enjoyed one installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy series and recently taken an interest in Transformers. They also favor Adam Sandler movies, though Zoe admitted that some of his films might not always be suitable for 11-year-olds.

Full Support for Their Mom

Despite not watching all of her movies, Saldanas sons are full of praise for their mother. During the Elio premiere in June, Cy and Bowie expressed their admiration in a joint interview: We just want to say were really proud of our mom for everything shes done.

Zoe Saldana is set to appear next in Avatar: Fire and Ash, which is scheduled to release on December 19.
