Ex-DWTS Pro Experiences Severe Health Crisis: 'I Stayed Optimistic'

Former Dancing With the Stars professional Lindsay Arnold shared a frightening experience during the first trimester of her third pregnancy. On Saturday, November 29, she detailed her pregnancy journey on Instagram Stories, revealing unexpected heavy bleeding.

"The bleeding started quite heavily on our first day at Disneyland," Arnold explained. "For context, this occurred around the same stage in both my previous pregnancies with Sage and June both were subchorionic hematomas. I had a strong feeling it might be the same situation again, but it was still nerve-wracking because you can never be sure."

She added, "It was particularly stressful since it happened on the first day of a weekend trip, so I had to wait until returning home to consult my doctor. I tried to stay positive and enjoy our time at Disney with the girls, knowing there was nothing I could do in that moment."

After returning home to Utah, Arnold saw her doctor for blood tests and an ultrasound, which confirmed that everything was progressing normally. She did have a subchorionic hematoma. A few weeks later, she experienced more bleeding, prompting another ultrasound, but the baby remained healthy.

Arnold is expecting her third child in 2026. She and her husband, Sam Cusick, are already parents to daughters Sage and June. The couple announced the pregnancy on Instagram on November 24 with a heartfelt message: "BABY CUSICK #3 IS ON THE WAY. We feel incredibly blessed, grateful, and excited. We love you so much already and cant wait to meet you!"
