Madonna criticizes Donald Trump for failing to recognize AIDS Day

Madonna has openly criticized former President Donald Trump for choosing not to officially recognize World AIDS Day. The singer described the decision as absurd and unthinkable, voicing her concerns on social media.

In an Instagram post, Madonna highlighted the importance of December 1, stating, Today is World AIDS Day. For four decades, this day has been observed internationally by people from all walks of life, as millions have been affected by the HIV crisis.

She condemned the administrations stance, writing that asking the public to ignore the day is ridiculous and absurd. Madonna emphasized the personal toll of the epidemic, sharing that she has witnessed many losses, I bet hes never watched his best friend die of AIDS, held their hand, and watched the blood drain from their face as they took their last breath at the age of 23. She added that the number of lives she has lost to the disease is substantial and that many others can relate.

Concluding her post, Madonna urged her followers to continue recognizing World AIDS Day. She reminded everyone that there is still no cure for AIDS and that countless people continue to succumb to the disease, stating, I refuse to acknowledge that these people have died in vain. I will continue to honor World AIDS Day, and I hope you will honor it with me.
