Stephen Colbert delivers a brutally honest medical 'prescription' to Trump

Late Show host Stephen Colbert offered his own medical suggestion for President Donald Trump on Monday after the White House released information about the MRI he underwent in October. According to Trumps physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, the president remains in excellent health, and the scan was performed because men in his age group benefit from comprehensive cardiovascular and abdominal assessments.

Colbert accepted the explanation but added a pointed remark of his own. He noted that men in his age group also benefit from retiring, jokingly asking if that recommendation could be added to Trumps medical notes as well.

At 79, Trump has faced increasing scrutiny regarding his health. The MRI was part of a quickly announced visit to Walter Reed Medical Center last month for what the White House described as a routine annual checkup, taking place only half a year after his prior physical.

Trump has also been observed having difficulty staying attentive during White House appearances. During one event last month, he appeared to struggle for roughly 20 minutes to keep his eyes open, according to an analysis by the Washington Post.

Additionally, the New York Times reported recently that Trump has scaled back his schedule, reducing travel, public events, and overall working hours in acknowledgment of his age.

More details can be seen in Monday nights Late Show monologue.
