White House reveals information from Trump's October medical examination

On Monday, the White House shared results from President Donald Trump's physical examination conducted in October, amid increasing attention to the president's physical and mental wellbeing. Officials stated that the results indicate Trump is in "excellent overall health."

The October checkup was Trump's second physical of the year, sparking speculation among critics about potential health concerns. Public attention intensified following visible bruising on his hand and longstanding claims from opponents regarding possible cognitive decline.

Trump has consistently stated that he is in top mental and physical condition. Nevertheless, questions resurfaced after the 79-year-old president revealed he had undergone an MRI during his checkup without clarifying the focus of the scan.

In a memo to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Presidential Physician Sean Barbabella explained that the MRI and advanced imaging were performed "because men in his age group benefit from a thorough evaluation of cardiovascular and abdominal health." He added, "The purpose of this imaging is preventive: to detect issues early, confirm overall health, and ensure long-term vitality and function."

Barbabella reported that Trump's cardiovascular imaging results were "completely normal," noting that "there is no evidence of arterial narrowing, heart abnormalities, or issues with major vessels. Heart chambers are normal, vessel walls are healthy, and there are no signs of inflammation or clots. Overall, the cardiovascular system shows excellent health."

Regarding the abdominal imaging, Barbabella stated that it "also shows normal results." He emphasized that such detailed evaluation is standard for a presidential physical at Trump's age and confirms that he remains in excellent overall health.

The memorandum followed questions from reporters on Air Force One, when Trump indicated he had no objection to releasing his MRI results, describing them as "perfect."

The scrutiny was amplified after Minnesota Governor Tim Walz called on Trump to release the MRI results during an appearance on NBC's Meet the Press. The call came shortly after Trump's Thanksgiving message on Truth Social, where he criticized U.S. immigration policies, used divisive language, and made allegations about Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.

Walz described Trump's comments as evidence of unfitness for office, though the White House denied such claims. "This is not normal behavior. It is not healthy," Walz said, emphasizing the gravity of the presidency and expressing concern over Trump's ability to perform his duties.
