James Carville Identifies the Current Essence of Trump: 'You Can Just Feel It Oozing Out'

Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville delivered a harsh evaluation of President Donald Trump's current position with voters. Speaking on the latest episode of The Daily Beast Podcast, released Monday, Carville cited a Gallup poll indicating Trump's approval rating has dropped to 36%, describing it as an all-time low.

I dont know how much lower you can go, Carville remarked. He suggested that, in terms of major accomplishments, Trumps presidency appears to have run its course. He further predicted that following the 2026 midterm elections, Trump may face a House controlled by Democrats and possibly a Senate under Democratic control as well.

Carville emphasized that Trumps influence is rapidly waning. The powers going out of Trump by the minute. You can just feel it oozing out, he stated, referring to a recent opinion piece he wrote for The New York Times. In the article, Carville attributed recent Democratic electoral gains to the economic hardships experienced by Americans during Trumps second term. He wrote, Were living through the greatest economic inequality since the Roaring Twenties. President Trump has done nothing to curb the cost of what it requires to take even a breath in America today, the centerpiece promise of his 2024 campaign.

He added, The people are revolting, and they have been for some time. This offers Democrats the greatest gift you can have in American politics: a second chance.
