Jack Schlossberg Faces Major Setback in Political Campaign as Key Player Resigns

Jack Schlossberg, grandson of John F. Kennedy, is encountering an unexpected obstacle in his run for New Yorks 12th Congressional District. Annabell Lasally, who had been appointed as his campaign manager, has stepped away from the role, according to a report by Politicos Playbook on Thursday, December 4.

In a statement, Schlossbergs campaign emphasized, Our campaign continues to expand after launch as the only team dedicated to local concerns and progressive initiatives. We will be revealing our new campaign headquarters shortly. Everything is moving forward as planned.

The campaign did not disclose who will replace Lasally or provide details regarding her departure.

Schlossberg, son of Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg, is vying for the seat being vacated by retiring Congressman Jerry Nadler. At least ten candidates have entered the race, including Assemblymembers Micah Lasher and Alex Bores, as well as City Council member Erik Bottcher.

The Democratic candidate announced his congressional run on November 11, stating on Instagram, Im not running because I have all the answers. Im running to listen to the people of New York 12, hear their experiences, amplify their voices, and represent them in Washington.

Schlossbergs mother attended his inaugural campaign event, witnessing her son share his vision for what he described as a next revolution of belief in our country.

His political aspirations come during a challenging personal time. His sister, Tatiana Schlossberg, recently revealed in the New Yorker that she is battling a terminal form of acute myeloid leukemia. She shared that her family has been steadfastly supporting her throughout her treatment, providing comfort despite their own pain.
