Jimmy Kimmel Mocks Trump: America is Mocking You in Brutal Takedown

Jimmy Kimmel made his return to late-night television on Monday, December 1, following the Thanksgiving holiday, and immediately addressed the recent controversy surrounding President Donald Trump's posts on Truth Social. During the opening monologue of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel read excerpts from Trumps Thanksgiving message, in which the former President criticized Democrats, immigrants, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, former President Joe Biden, and others.

In his post on Truth Social on Thursday, November 27, Trump wrote: A very Happy Thanksgiving salutation to all of our Great American Citizens and Patriots who have been so nice in allowing our Country to be divided, disrupted, carved up, murdered, beaten, mugged, and laughed at. Kimmel responded, I hate to be the one to tell you, our country isnt being laughed at Theyre laughing at you.

The host then highlighted Trumps remarks about Walz, whom the former President described as seriously retarded. Mocking the comment, Kimmel said, See, he can be presidential when he wants to be. I wonder why he didnt get that Nobel Peace Prize. It makes no sense.

Kimmel noted that the post sparked significant backlash, including from some Republicans. Trump, however, doubled down during an interview aboard Air Force One on Sunday, November 30, stating, Yeah, I think theres something wrong with him when asked if he still stood by his comment about Walz. Kimmel quipped in response, Another bold statement from the President of the Eighth Grade.

Following the remarks, Walz called on Trump to release the results of an MRI scan he underwent in October. Kimmel joked, You know the one he still has no idea why he was given? And he still doesnt know why he got it or even where!

The comedian also played a clip of Trump on Air Force One admitting he didnt know which part of the body the MRI focused on. He boasted about his cognitive test results and claimed that two female reporters asking questions would not be able to pass it. Wow, that Melania is a lucky lady indeed, Kimmel added.

Later, Kimmel mocked Trumps claim of having record-high poll numbers. Trumps approval rating, according to every major poll, is the lowest weve ever seen since we flushed him out of office the first time, he said. His negative rating is now at 60 percent. There are gas station bathrooms on Yelp with higher approval ratings than Donald Trump right now.
