Former Pentagon press secretary under President Donald Trump, Kingsley Wilson, burst into laughter during an interview when asked about an online conspiracy theory involving Candace Owens.

The exchange took place during a conversation with Cam Higby, who posed a question regarding whether the Department of Defense had any information about an alleged French military plan to assassinate Owens. Wilson, still amused, responded that she was unaware of any such plot, adding that the matter sounded more like something for law enforcement.

The interview followed Owens recent claims suggesting that French President Emmanuel Macron had supposedly ordered her assassination. In a lengthy social media post, she stated that a high-ranking French government source warned her about a specialized team allegedly tasked with the operation, claiming involvement from units linked to the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group and even an individual from Israel. She also asserted that journalist Xavier Poussard faced similar danger.

Owens insisted she had been given evidence credible enough to share publicly and urged widespread circulation of her statement. She further suggested that U.S. officials were aware of the situation and expressed hope that authorities would verify her information. Shortly after, she stated that she expected former President Trumps administration to acknowledge and validate her accusations.
