New York Times provides clues for #637: Solutions for Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025

If youre tackling the New York Times Strands puzzle, youve come to the right place for guidance. Here, youll find hints and full solutions for Sundays Puzzle #637. Using a few clues isnt considered cheatingthis game is meant to challenge your word-spotting skills.

About the Game

NYT Strands resembles a word search. The puzzle presents a grid, 6 columns across and 8 rows down, filled with seemingly random letters. Within this grid, about seven words are hidden. Your mission is to locate them, connecting letters in any directionhorizontal, vertical, or diagonalcreating potentially unusual shapes. Every letter in the grid is part of a word, and finding all of them reveals the spangram, which represents the overarching theme linking the hidden words.

For example, a previous puzzle had a theme called Thats so sweet! and the spangram was sugary, with all hidden words related to types of sugar.

Hints System

If you get stuck, Strands provides in-game hints. Finding a four-letter word that isnt a puzzle answer contributes toward a clue. Every three words you identify activates a Hint icon at the screens bottom left. Clicking it highlights letters for the next word, though it wont show the exact connections. Using additional hints can guide you letter by letter, but keep in mind that your final score reflects the hints youve used.

Like Wordle and Connections, Strands can only be played once per day, with the timer resetting at midnight.

Todays Puzzle Theme

The theme for Puzzle #637 is Group membership. Additional guidance: think along the lines of murder, colony, and school. Four-letter non-theme words in the puzzle can also help you unlock hints. Example words include: LOCKER, LOCKET, TOTE, SAINT, WOES, DRIP, FELT, SEES, FEET.

Knowing the spangram length is helpful. Todays spangram contains 12 letters.
