Week 14 Fantasy Football Matchups: Top Players to Target and Hidden Gems to Watch

Using matchup insights, here are 12 underrated players who could make a major difference for fantasy teams heading into Week 14 and the push toward the playoffs.

Quarterback

Tyler Shough vs. TB

The Buccaneers have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, ranking high in both yards and touchdowns surrendered. Shough has been quietly impressive recently, completing 69.4% of his passes and averaging 254.7 yards over the last three games. Hes scored multiple touchdowns in two of those games, and with Tampa Bay giving up 20+ fantasy points to quarterbacks in their last three contests, hes in a strong position this week.

Running Backs

Devin Neal vs. TB

Tampa Bay has been vulnerable to running backs catching passes out of the backfield, allowing the second-worst completion rate and the highest yards per target. Neal has seen 10 targets in the last two games and played 81% of snaps, providing a reliable baseline for PPR points and a chance to capitalize in this matchup.

Zach Charbonnet vs. ATL

The Falcons struggle against inside runs, leading the league in fantasy points allowed on runs between the tackles. Charbonnet runs nearly half his attempts inside, giving him both a steady floor and upside for a top-15 RB performance if he reaches the end zone.

Deep Sleeper: Samaje Perine vs. BUF

The Bills rank among the worst rushing defenses, allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to backs. Perine has played over 40% of snaps in four of his last five healthy games, making him a potential impact player even in limited action.

Wide Receivers

Alec Pierce vs. JAX

Jacksonville has surrendered the second-most receptions and is tied for fifth in touchdowns allowed to outside receivers. Theyve struggled against deep passes, giving up the eighth-most yards and fantasy points on plays of 20+ yards. Pierce could see a strong target share and touchdown opportunities in this matchup.

Michael Wilson vs. LAR

The Rams have allowed significant yardage to outside receivers. With key teammates Marvin Harrison Jr. and Greg Dortch out, Wilson is positioned to see an increased target load.

Parker Washington vs. IND

If Washington plays despite a recent hip injury, he could thrive against the Colts, who rank third-worst in fantasy points allowed to slot receivers. If he sits, Austin Trammell becomes a deep sleeper option in this favorable matchup.

Pat Bryant vs. LV

The Raiders have allowed the seventh-most receptions to inside receivers and rank near the bottom in touchdowns and fantasy points allowed to slot receivers. Bryant has been shifted inside and played a majority of his snaps there, making him a sleeper with upside due to volume.

Devaughn Vele vs. TB

The Buccaneers have given up the 10th-most fantasy points to slot receivers, and Vele has seen 15 targets over his last two games. This volume, combined with the matchup, makes him a viable option.

John Metchie III vs. MIA

Miami has struggled against slot receivers, giving up big PPR games in recent weeks. Metchie has seen 15 targets in his last two contests and two touchdowns in his last three games, putting him in a strong spot for Week 14.

Deep Sleeper: Jack Bech vs. DEN

With Donte Thornton Jr. sidelined, Bech could see a significant role. While Denver is generally tough against receivers, if he plays 80-90% of snaps, he has sleeper potential.

Tight End

Mason Taylor vs. MIA

The Dolphins have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to tight ends. Taylor performed well in their previous meeting, and with Miami struggling against the position, hes in a favorable spot for Week 14.
