6th-Grade Teacher Utilized AI to Create Child Sexual Abuse Materials and Took Photos of Himself Sexually Assaulting Family Pet

A sixth-grade educator from Florida has been handed a 135-year prison sentence after being convicted on multiple charges related to child sexual abuse materials and sexual abuse of an animal.

David McKeown, who taught at the United Brethren In Christ Academy in Holly Hill, was arrested in June. Authorities charged him with aggravated possession of child sexual abuse content, possession of child sexual abuse images, and sexual conduct with an animal.

Investigators discovered that McKeown had used social media to share photos of his students. Additionally, he employed artificial intelligence to create child sexual abuse content. Law enforcement also uncovered images of McKeown sexually abusing his family pet.

During the investigation, police examined McKeowns devices at both his home and workplace, as well as his social media accounts. They reported finding 19 images depicting child sexual abuse and six images involving sexual activity with animals. Further, McKeown had shared student photos and personal information via social media and used AI to generate abusive materials.

McKeown pleaded openly to the charges and was subsequently found guilty. Following the conviction, he received a prison sentence totaling 135 years.
