Boy, 10, injured in crash leads to drink-drive arrest

A 10-year-old boy was hospitalized following an accident involving a suspected intoxicated driver. Authorities are seeking witnesses and any available video footage related to the incident, which occurred around 17:15 GMT on Tuesday on Lawton Street in Alsager, Cheshire.
The collision involved a red Toyota Yaris and a black bicycle near Alsager Pharmacy. The child was airlifted to Alder Hey Children's Hospital. His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
A 51-year-old man from Crewe has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and has been released pending further investigation.
